Stuart Jackson (tenor) was a choral scholar at Christ Church, Oxford, before completing his training at the Royal Academy of Music in 2013. He won second prizes at both the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition and the Hugo Wolf Competition in Stuttgart, and has since given recitals for Stuttgart Opera at Wigmore Hall, the Oxford Lieder Festival and the Albertina Musensaal in Vienna. The highlight of his year with the Stuttgart Opera Studio (2013-2014) was singing the title role in Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice. He is currently an Associate Artist with The Mozartists, making his début with the company at St John’s Smith Square in 2014 and performing most recently at the 20th Birthday Concert. His roles with The Mozartists include Scipio (Il sogno di Scipione), Osroa (Adriano in Siria) and Lucio Vero (Il Vologeso). Other engagements include The Fairy Queen for Iford Arts, Jonathan (Saul) for Glyndebourne on Tour, High Priest (Saul) for Glyndebourne Festival and Adelaide Festival, and Alcesta (Erismena) in Aix-en-Provence and Versailles.
