Rowan Hellier studied at both the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She first performed with The Mozartists singing the part of Cecilio (Lucio Silla) at Cadogan Hall in 2012, and in 2015 she sang the title role in our production of J. C. Bach’s Adriano in Siria. Other roles include Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Annina (La traviata), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Der Trommler (Der Kaiser von Atlantis), Hirt (Tosca) and the title role in Vanitas at both the Berlin and Hamburg Staatsoper. Concert performances include the title role in Carmen with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) for Welsh National Opera, Sesto (Giulio Cesare) with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at the Santiago de Compostela Festival, and Lola (Cavalleria rusticana) at the Barbican.
