Rebecca Ryan is an Associate Artist of The Mozartists, and first performed with the company in the 2007 staging of The Marriage of Figaro. She has also performed with the company as Forgiveness in The First Commandment at Wilton’s Music Hall, and in concerts at Wigmore Hall and Kings Place. Born in New Zealand, Rebecca graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Music from the University of Otago, before moving to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music. Other operatic roles have included Micaëla (Carmen) for University of Otago Opera and in concert with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Angelica (Orlando) for Independent Opera at Sadler’s Wells, Mme Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor) for Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and Lidka (The Two Widows) for Scottish Opera. Her recordings include Silete venti on CD for Naxos, Ch’io mi scordi di te? for RTÉ TV’s The Symphony Sessions and Exsultate Jubilate for RTÉ TV’s The Mozart Sessions.
