Born in Koszalin, Polish bass Lukas Jakobski was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, where he sang roles including Angelotti (Tosca), Pistola (Falstaff) and Pietro (Simon Boccanegra). He returned in 2020 to sing Dr Grenvil (La traviata). For The Mozartists, Lukas Jakobski has sung Don Cassandro (La finta semplice). Elsewhere, he has performed with Glyndebourne On Tour, Grange Park Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, the Opéra de Lyon, Irish National Opera, the Dutch National Opera, the Nederlandse Reisopera, the Polish National Opera and the Theater an der Wien. Concert engagements have included performances with the Academy of Ancient Music, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Hallé, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the Irish Baroque Orchestra, the Kymi Sinfonietta, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. With the Pina Bausch Dance Company, he appeared in Café Müller.
